Machine Learning and Quantum Machine Learning
Overview
Machine learning (ML) is the study of computer algorithms that improve automatically through experience and learning from data. There are two major research directions, including inventing novel machine learning algorithms and applying the ML algorithms to a wide variety of applications, such as in social media, medicine, astronomy, etc. Quantum machine learning (QML) is the integration of quantum algorithms within machine learning programs. Quantum algorithms can be used to analyze quantum states instead of classical data. Through quantum machine learning, we may identify the patterns of both quantum states and classical data.
