Welcome to the Department of Computer Science and Computer Engineering (CSCE) that resides in the College of Engineering at the University of Arkansas.  The CSCE Department focuses on educating high quality students with knowledge and skills in the fast-moving area of computing that is pervasive in society and has had a significant impact of people's lives and the world economy.  Computing topics include, but not limited to; data collection and analysis, cybersecurity, computing hardware design, machine learning, image processing, computing theory, wearable computing, sensor networks, reconfigurable computing, electronics design automation, and intelligent search.

The Computer Science and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Arkansas, the flagship campus in the University of Arkansas system, offers high quality undergraduate and graduate computer science and computer engineering degree programs.  Our programs are growing rapidly to meet our state's and society's needs for talented professionals in computing technology in both hardware and software.  Both of our undergraduate programs in computer science and computer engineering are ABET accredited.  Our department has excellent curricula in both computer science and computer engineering and our faculty and staff are dedicated to the student's learning and growth.  Many of the students in the Computer Science and Computer Engineering Department find excellent intern positions and jobs in top corporations in the country and our department has an outstanding placement rate.  We welcome excellent students to join our programs to receive their college education or pursue their advanced degrees in the areas of computer science and computer engineering.

The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville is classified among the research universities with the highest level of research in the U.S. by the Carnegie Foundation.  The Computer Science and Computer Engineering Department has an excellent faculty with international reputations.  They perform innovative world-class research and development in computer science and computer engineering.  We welcome any research and education partnership opportunities from industries and government agencies and support from our alumni.
